Me and my mom went here for a burger. We ordered and were seated in less than a minute, and the food was amazing. Sam was so kind, and it was reasonably priced too. I wish Sam good luck on his retirement, and I really enjoyed eating there.
Had a very delicious chow mein with chicken. Staff was very friendly and food was great. Restraunt was empty, and I'm not sure why other than it was a bit early and mid week. Prices were very reasonable and a good size portion.
Beautiful place, great vibe, great service and some nicely salted onion rings! Also menu hasn't had crazy jumps in pricing due to pandemic. I would recommend to all!
I come from a family of chefs and bakers, and so I am picky about eating out. I was completely satisfied with eating here. The burger was better than I expected and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the center without all the typical grease. Definately eat there again.
This space is large and has a patio. My lunch was a beef dip sandwich which was served on a whole wheat bun with home cut fries. Very clean and the food is delicious.

We were coming back from basscoast festival and wanted somewhere to stop half way for something tasty so we went to Ashcroft and randomly found Sam’s diner. It’s a nice diner, very clean and great service. Sam the owner and chef is so lovely. My husband had fish and chips and I had sweet and sour chicken. We were both super happy and had clean plates! The fries are legendary ... the other reviews are true. It’s a no frills kind of place but it has a lovely sense of community and does delicious food at a great price! The burgers looked good too! Looking forward to coming back and it might just become an after festival tradition for us. Tell your friends!
